Production technology

After many years of research to find out the best way to build antennas for RF products, Gep has chosen the wire technology, by now universally known as the most reliable with the highest performance for products requiring very high reliability.
The use of the wire allows, as a matter of fact, during the manufacturing process, the uniformity of the electrical Resistance of the antenna and related Q, as well as a particular reliability also after chemical attacks and mechanical stress.

The Production Cycle

Gep is able to deposit the antenna and the micromodule on several kind of materials, giving the opportunity to supply a huge range of applications.
The non-stop cycle on web allows Gep to keep the production costs very competitive against the products built in far east in far east, with a very low human intervention that adds cost and moreover adds quality risk.
The antenna deposition and the manufacture of the product is realised through production lines designed and built in Italy with own patents, by companies leader in precision mechanics.
Particular attention has been paid to the coil welding system for which Gep has designed and patented innovative equipments offering a very high reliability on one aspect of the process which has always been critical.

Test system

Particular equipments, extremely reliable and secure, have been realised for test and personalization cycle. Such equipments are able to process a wide range of layouts and products for electronic passports, and ISO smart cards either.

These equipments are protected by a logical security in order to guarantee the highest security standards.

Highly qualified personnel follows constantly such tests and reports the results to the top management.
